Description
Town councilor with the city of Madrid, and Executive Member of the PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers Party). Trustee of the Fundacion IDEAS, Spain's Socialist Party's think tank. Former president of Federación Estatal de Gays y Lesbianas (National Federation of Gays and Lesbians). Helped Spain to become the first country to recognize same-sex marriage.
