Description

Film, stage, and television actor and director. Notable for his role in the stage and television production of 'Hosanna' (Michel Tremblay) and the series 'Cover Girl'. Former Artistic Director of the Just For Laughs festival; worked on the design and staging of several Cirque du Soleil productions; managed the production 'Unite Against Aids'. Playwright. Co-chief executive and artistic director of Théâtre d'Aujourd'hui (1998-2004), and co-artistic director of Theatre PÀP (1981-1998). Recipient of many theatre and television awards. Sometimes known as Rene Cyr.
