Description
Host of a television show on MSNBC beginning in 2014. Known for his journalism work helping expose Harvey Weinstein's inappropriate sexual behaviour toward women, which gave momentum to the #MeToo movement (2017). Contributor to several newspapers and magazines, including The Guardian and Los Angeles Times. Special Adviser for Humanitarian and NGO Affairs in the Office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, the White House (2009). Special Adviser for Global Youth Issues and Director of the State Department's Office of Global Youth Issues (2011). UNICEF Spokesperson for Youth (2001-2009). Recipient of a 2018 Pulitzer Prize for his reporting on Harvey Weinstein in The New Yorker. Son of actors Mia Farrow and Woody Allen. Named Journalist of the Year (2018) by the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA). Partner is Jon Lovett.
