Description
President, Cineplex Media. Philanthropist, magazine publisher, art patron. Founded the entertainment magazine Famous in 1999 when he was President of Famous Players Media, which was subsequently acquired by Cineplex Entertainment. Founding member, Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR). Has received numerous awards and honours for his achievements and contributions. Honourary Patron of The 519 Church Street Community Centre in Toronto after chairing its successful Capital Campaign. Chancellor, OCAD University since 2017. Appointed a Member of the Order of Canada (2016) and the Order of Ontario (2020). Grand Marshall of the Toronto Pride Parade (2005 and 2016).
