Description

Non-binary transgender author and video artist. Books include 'The Death of Vivek Oji' (2020), 'Freshwater' (2018, and one part of Unblinding, of a series of self-portraits which includes paintings and video art) and the young adult novel 'Pet' (2019). Recipient of the Commonwealth Short Story Prize for Africa (2017) for her short story 'Who Is Like God'. Presented as a Next Generation Leader by Time magazine, and a Top 5 Under 35 by the National Book Foundation.
