Notable best-selling books include her memoirs 'Are You Somebody' (1996) and 'Almost There' (2003), as well as her biography of the Irish criminal 'The Story of Chicago May' (2005). Producer of the television program 'Plain Tales'. Had a fifteen-year relationship with writer Nell McCafferty.
