A Hall of Fame is a structure or listing of individuals who have excelled in a particular field or activity.  The individuals can be selected by peers, by a panel of authorities in the field or activity, or by public voting.  The lists are maintained by an organization or community and may be national, state, local, or private.  The standards for entry into a Hall of Fame are considered to be very high.

A Hall of Fame is a structure or listing of individuals who have excelled in a particular field or activity. The individuals can be selected by peers, by a panel of authorities in the field or activity, or by public voting. The lists are maintained by an organization or community and may be national, state, local, or private. The standards for entry into a Hall of Fame are considered to be very high.

Individuals who are members of the Hall of Fame are renowned and considered to be the absolute best achievers in their endeavours. Having LGBTQ individuals represented in a Hall of Fame is an indication of both the participation and the accomplishments of those witin the community.

There are many activities with a Hall of Fame. These include sports, journalism and writing, the arts, entertainment, gender, culinary, business, legal, and community groups.
